The Canterbury Unibus is a set of two routes that operate between Canterbury City Centre and the University of Kent campus. Over the years it's seen many investments and branded buses for the route. On example would be in 2013 when they ordered 6 brand new ADL enviro400s on a Scania chassis powered by 100% biofuel.
The bus pictured to the left is one of the six bio unibus'.
The logo that we created is simple but meaningful. We used the current Stagecoach corporate font and added a graduation cap on top of the "i" in place of the dot.
For the livery we amended the, at the time, corporate standard livery. It is a two tone forest green livery. We chose green as the colour as the past 3 liveries used on the Unibus routes all used green.
To give a visual representation of what the livery would look like on a bus we used a game called OMSI2. The model was made by Studio Polygon.
Using games like OMSI2 is a great way to show what our concepts would look like on actual vehicles.
